Hi!

Since I’ve already painted the tree spirits from the Studio Ghibli movie Princess Mononoke, today I decided to paint the Forest Spirit. The Forest Spirit is a god of life and death and during the day it looks like a deer with a lot of antlers, bird feet, and a humanoid face. It’s kind of unsettling.

At night it turns into a giant majestic being, but during the day it looks like this:

I painted a scene from the movie where the forest spirit passes in front of the sun. I’m running low on canvases so I painted it on a 7″×9″ canvas board.
